Invitation to the opening of the catalog, Let’s celebrate together!

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Géa Augsbourg, one of our region’s most eminent picture-makers, the Château d’Aigle is honored to present a remarkable collection of Augsbourg‘s works, as well as creations by Augsburger. The exhibition runs until August 17, 2025.

In collaboration with the management of the Château d’Aigle, the publication of Hasard et Nécessité, a book that reveals more intimate aspects of the two artists’ work, has been developed.

The 56-page catalog includes a text by Antoine Baudin, art historian and author of a monograph on Géa Augsbourg.

5pm: Guided tour of the exhibition by Antoine Baudin and Claude Augsburger

6pm: Vernissage of the publication

7pm: Concert Gilles en Vaudoisie with Atena Carte, Christian Baur and Michel Fuchs
